THRIVE email templates
Two templates in THRIVE's website identity. Updated 9 October 2026.
How to use them
- The email playbook explains the process for both emails, who does what, and which lists they go to. Password is thrive.
- Claude's instructions are the step-by-step file Claude follows to build, load, and test each email in HubSpot.
Member newsletter
The weekly newsletter for members. Final design from 1 October 2026, shown with sample content from the 25 August issue.
- See the email as it will look in an inbox.
- Get the HTML code. The same code is at
https://thrive-newsletter-template.pages.dev/thrive-newsletter.txt
Staff memo
For internal updates to the team. Same look as the newsletter, shorter and plainer, and editable right in HubSpot. The sample text in each field explains what goes there.
- See the email as it will look in an inbox.
- Get the HTML code. The same code is at
https://thrive-newsletter-template.pages.dev/thrive-staff-memo.txt
Editing them
The staff memo is editable. Every section is a box you fill in inside HubSpot's email editor, so anyone can write and send a memo without Claude or code. The steps are in section 04 of the playbook.
The newsletter is a coded template for now. To change an issue, edit the words, dates, and links in the code, or have Claude do it. Kevin can quickly convert it to an editable version like the memo, with the design exactly the same.
Both are already in HubSpot
- They're under Marketing, Email, Create email, Regular, then the Custom tab. Look for "THRIVE Weekly Member Newsletter" and "THRIVE Staff Memo".
- The company address in the footer comes from HubSpot's own settings, under Marketing, Email, Configuration, Footer addresses. It was fixed on 9 October 2026 and now reads 44 Milton Ave, Alpharetta, GA 30009.
- The preview text, the short line inboxes show after the subject, can be set in each email's settings.
- HubSpot needs an unsubscribe link on every marketing email, staff memos included. Send memos under their own subscription type, such as "Internal updates", so anyone who unsubscribes from the newsletter still gets memos.
- The images currently load from this site. Before the first real send, upload them to HubSpot's file manager and point the code at the HubSpot copies. They're all in this zip file, named as they appear in the code.
- Every link to THRIVE's own site carries tracking tags so newsletter clicks show up as email traffic in Google Analytics. Keep them when swapping in new content. HubSpot's email tracking is set to "Add source tracking only if no existing tags in URL" (since 9 October 2026), so it keeps these tags and only adds its own to links that have none.
Prompt for Claude
Copy this into Claude to finish setting up both templates in HubSpot and test them. For a weekly issue or a memo, use the prompts in the playbook instead.
Could you finish setting up THRIVE's two email templates in HubSpot and test them so they're ready to go live? Before you start, check you can get into THRIVE's HubSpot account. If you can't, stop and tell me. 1. Find the two coded email templates in HubSpot's Design Manager, "THRIVE Weekly Member Newsletter" and "THRIVE Staff Memo". The latest code for each is at https://thrive-newsletter-template.pages.dev/thrive-newsletter.txt and https://thrive-newsletter-template.pages.dev/thrive-staff-memo.txt 2. Move the images into HubSpot's file manager and point both templates at the HubSpot copies. That covers every image loading from thrive-newsletter-template.pages.dev and the two THRIVE logos loading from workatthrive.com/images/brand. Leave the blog post photos (workatthrive.com/wp-content) where they are. All the images are also in https://thrive-newsletter-template.pages.dev/thrive-newsletter-images.zip 3. Create a marketing email from each template. Don't use the drag-and-drop editor, because it rewrites the code and breaks the layout. 4. Send a test of each to me and to kevin@everspaces.com. 5. Run as many QA checks as you can: - every image loads - every link works and keeps its tracking tags (utm_) - the unsubscribe, preferences, and view-in-browser links work - the company address in the footer prints once and reads correctly - it looks right on mobile, and in Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail - it stays under Gmail's 102 KB size limit so it doesn't get clipped - the subject line and preview text show properly 6. Give me a list of anything that failed and what you changed, so we can fix the rest before we go live.
Known limits
Outlook on Windows shows the rounded buttons as square. Gmail uses a standard font in place of THRIVE's heading font. Everything else holds. Keep the finished email under 100 KB or Gmail cuts it off with a "view entire message" link.
